To be honest I dont think a lot of people kniew what was happening out there. Was management clued up on the possibility of rain again or where they playing for the full 11 overs, a late onslaught from Chigumbura?
Because from what I saw, none of the batsmen ever attempted a big hit. Did they know their target if the match stopped in the fifth over?

Unlucky Zimbabwe. It's a horrible way to lose a cricket match through the Duckworth Lewis method. But question marks linger as to why a more destructive batsmen wasn't sent in ahead of Brendan Taylor. But here's me saying that, Taylor was the man for Zimbabwe in the 07 Tournament. Though I still reckon Chiggs should have been sent above him since Taylor's footwork isn't the greatest at the start of his innings. But like BRM said, we've certainly not disgraced ourselves in this match, not by a long shot.

Two blunders definately. Taibu must have sacrificed his wicket for Hammie in that mixup, as it was Hammie who could have had a better chance of going hammer and tongs at the opposition. It was evident from the way the SL team wanted to ensure Masakadza's was the wicket.
Not sending Coventry / Chigumbura at the fall of the wicket was a disastrous decision. Especially when Taylor was out of touch.
Can only hope for a win today and let us see how it pans out. We did not bring back Blignaut from a 5 year hiatus to serve drinks at Providence, did we?

Even then, the guys had the chance to slow down a things bit so that match stopped at 4.5 overs (which was possible). Cricketing spirit wise guys did well but there was a chance to grab for the progression into next round. That was blown. Was it right or wrong is debatable but i couldnt find any logic in staying back Eltie/Choppie/Erwine.
speechless.
