@Eugene, your snide comments about players you don’t like are really beginning to get tiresome. If only you were half-good at it, like zimfanatic, or zimdoggy, your comments would be tolerable, but frankly this humiliation of players like Stuart Matsikenyeri is getting quite ridiculous.

If ever we needed some constructive criticism why not treat all players the same. Why is it it's only the black players treated this way and rarely if ever white. The only white player treated anything remotely close to this was Greg Lamb, and that from an Indian guy in Asia.

I'm not suggesting racism here. I am indicating prejudice.

@ Sloan, if only you could make up you mind about issues, be more independent minded rather than swayed easily by infertile arguments such as Eugene’s you would make more meaningful contributions. You need to get out more. Read more. You are young yet. There is hope

I only started this thread because in another topic some suggested that Matsi wasn't in the top 55 batters in the country, so I was interested to see who people thought were better players. If anything this thread has shown that Matsi is still in the top 20.

I am sorry if I have caused offence - it wasn't my intention. I just get frustrated by constantly under-performing players.

Excellent points very well made and, suffice to say, I agree with you 100%.

I had not mentioned the race issue as it is sensitive but I think it is a very fair comment.

Race issues have nothing to do with my arguments. My complaints about Matsikenyeri stem from his poor play, not the colour of his skin.

You see this is very funny  I need to get out more, it's the funniest thing I've heard all day haha.
You make it sound like its a career, "There's still hope". It's a forum where everybody can share their own views, something I'm doing, and in the process i happen to agree with what Eugene says....It's hardly being easily swayed lad

You are wise beyond your years. Perhaps we should come up with a code name for Matsi so we can still discuss with him without being persecuted.

...and I think we've had enough Matsi-bashing for the time being. It stopped being 'constructive criticism' quite some time ago.
