Why does Mutizwa not get get more opportunities with the First Team?
I'm sure that there is a very good reason but I have not seen him bat so I'm unaware of what it could be. Does he have a technical flaw?
Stastically he has the best first class average (batting) of any Zimbabwean qualified player currnetly playing. He has scored runs consistently (not just in batches of innings) and has scored well at every level at which he has had a chance. He has performed very well in his ODI matches when selected.

I know Cricket isn't played on paper but having not seen him play I'm at a loss as to why he is not further up the pecking order. Can anybody help?

Re: Forster Mutizwa
One day average 37 at 96 runs per 100 balls; first class average of 46 as of yersterday. Indeed, statistically he's head and shoulders above everybody, including Taylor, Masakadza, Sean Williams and Vusi. But zmfan once said he had an "iffy "techinique that would be exposed at international level.Robin wrote:Why does Mutizwa not get get more opportunities with the First Team?

And don't forget the other keeper bat, Regis Chakabva. He looks a confident young man too, and is piling up runs of late again.

Chakabva is very unorthodox but quite exciting to watch. And he's another one who makes runs very quickly, despite his small stature
