All hation aside, he has performed decently in this series - people should acknowledge that. Largely responsibly for steadying the ship in the 2nd ODI. I would like to see Butterworth having a go, that all-rounder spot is up for grabs, and Butterworth surely deserves a chance.

I am pretty sure that everyone would have preferred to see a game played rather than have a none result. Who knows maybe the Bangla guys should be thankful it was rained off.....

This was the team to play today, Chibhabha had been dropped, Chiggs was back, and Dabengwa was not in the eleven. We can probably expect the same team for Sunday: http://www.afriquejet.com/news/africa-n ... 63705.html
Sport - Zimbabwe batsman Craig Ervine insisted yesterday that his team was confident of pulling out the victory they need today to remain in the running to win the five-match Micromax One-Day International cricket series against Bangladesh. The Tigers lead the series 2-1 going into the fourth match at the MA Aziz Stadium here today.

A win by the hosts will seal their series, with a match to play, while victory for the Zimbabweans will level the series at 2-2 and the battle will have to be decided by the final match on Sunday.

Ervine has been Zimbabwe's best batsman so far, playing the spinners very well, and reached the 40s in his first two innings.

Yesterday he spoke about his form. And his team.

"We very, very confident," said the left-handed batsman.

"The guys have put in a lot of hard work over the last three days here in Chittagong, getting used to these conditions, and hope it pays off tomorrow (today).

"We know that tomorrow is a big game for us. We have to come in tomorrow and be positive. We know we have to win tomorrow to keep the series alive.

"So whatever happens tomorrow, happens. We just need to come out and play our best tomorrow."

Ervine was asked whether he was doing something differently which was enabling him to play the spinners better than the rest of his team.

"I haven't done so much differently," said Ervine.

"I have worked very hard on the spinners in the nets. I was struggling a little bit, before I came here to Bangladesh, with the spin and I knew I had to work hard and it's nice that it's paying off."

Ervine will come in at number five after the selectors again changed the team as they battle to try and find a winning formula.

Chamu Chibhabha, who had partnered Brendan Taylor in opening the innings in the first three games, was dropped yesterday for today's game after struggling in the last two matches.

Hamilton Masakadza will now open the batting with Taylor while Regis Chakabva returns to the number three position once again.

Returning skipper Elton Chigumbura will bat at number four.

Shingi Masakadza has also retained his place in the team.

Prosper Utseya, who impressed as the stand-in skipper in the third ODI where he was his team's leading wicket taker and also run scorer in a losing cause, said he expects the team to put up a good fight.

"We are trying to adapt to the new condition," he told the Bangladeshi media.

"We played here before, the wicket here spins more than that of Dhaka. So we think we will be able to put up a good show here.

"The guys are working hard in the nets and they are looking forward to the next two games here. We are trying to correct the mistakes that we have done in the previous two games. We still hope to win the series. If we can manage to win the next game then we will be back in the series again."

Well, this is the same track where Zimbabwe were bowled out for 44 - their lowest ODI score against Bangladesh- last year.

The Zimbabweans don't believe lightning can strike twice.

Zimbabwe

Brendan Taylor, HamiltonMasakadza, Regis Chakabva, Elton Chigumbura, Craig Ervine, Tatenda Taibu, Prosper Utseya, Graeme Cremer. Shingi Masakadza, Chris Mpofu, Ray Price. Twelfth Man - Keith Dabengwa.
Top response by Ervine (highlighted part). Acknowledging a shortcoming is the first step towards overcoming it.

i agree that Craig Ervine is our best looking batsman, some would even say he is gorgeous...

However i am of the firm belief that players should be picked on ability and not looks, just my opinion.

P.S-Taibu is spunky as well and has that boyish charm, would be a hit with the teenagers.
