The above news bit has this quote:
The successful candidate will need to be on board by May when New Zealand make a two-test tour to Bangladesh. Short tours to Zimbabwe and Australia follow before New Zealand host Zimbabwe and South Africa next summer.
So, both home and away series it seems, probably yet to be confirmed. "Short tour to Zim" probably means only an ODI series?

Short tour usually means 2 test, long tour 4+ tests, England are on a long tour of Australia, SA was on a short tour of the UAE (vs Pakistan)
