World Cup Preview
I've done a wee World Cup preview for Zimbabwe over at Clear Cricket. I know you guys won't entirely agree with me on it, but feel free to chip in on the comments, here or there.

Re: World Cup Preview
Nice article. Very well written, logical and most of all informative.
Re: World Cup Preview
Great article. 2 warm up games in it looks like they'll be sticking Coventry at 2, Chakabva at 3. However this might only be one of several configurations being looked at but I think they're serious enough about it. I agree about Shingi being preferable to Mpofu but I'm not sure they'll be willing to drop Mpofu, considering the changes at the top of the order.
Re: World Cup Preview
pretty good article,
If i have to nitpick though....what the f-word makes u think Shingi will be first pick seamer over Chris Mpofu? haha.

Heh. As I say in the comments, I don't rate Mpofu as highly as most people do.ZIMDOGGY wrote:If i have to nitpick though....what the f-word makes u think Shingi will be first pick seamer over Chris Mpofu? haha.
I am, as ever, more than happy to eat my words if he proves me wrong. Wouldn't be the first player to do that.

Very good indeed, and very fair. I do think Ervine (there is only ONE!) is very capable of holding an innings, he did a very decent job in the recent Bangladesh tour. Now that Mawoyo is out, I wonder what your line-up will be...sloandog wrote:a very good read mate

Re: World Cup Preview
Duffin's not an ODI player - can't say I'm happy with that choice. It'll give him top-flight match practice before our Test return, but the World Cup isn't the place to do that.clikcspeed wrote:Now that Mawoyo is out, I wonder what your line-up will be...
Maybe bring Chakabva in at 4th or 5th, move the others up to fill in.
