I would tend to disagree Venky. 49/0 of 9 overs against Lee and Co. is pretty good. Chigumbura has returned with a bang and i see no reason why Coventry cannot hit a match-winning hundred. Chill guys, relax. We won warm-ups in T20 world cup and then faired miserable in actual ones. Here we have lost both warm-ups so we are surely going to perform excellently. I am still rooting for Zimbabwe to win the cup. It's immaterial who joins them in the finalsCrimsonAvenger wrote:So, the warm up matches are through, and the only top order pair we tested has failed.

Zimbabwe were managed to put a fighting score. Bad luck that it was still not enough.

Ya I agree with Satendra.
It's just a warm up match, and today it didn't go too well. Great to see Chigumbura hit his straps, AT LAST, better late than never ay
The bowlers were unlucky today I think. Ray Price and Shingrai Mazakadza bagged another 2 wickets which looks promising, however Graeme Cremer' form is worrying. He's neither taking wickets nor keeping the runs down, and as a spinner on the sub-continent he needs to do one or the other if he's going to have an effect on the game for us!
But, lets just look towards Monday now. We've got time to prepare, and I think it's just a case of getting our heads down, and showing some grit, especially with the bat !

Rainsford sprained his ankle on his first delivery of the day. He's not been ruled out of the tourney yet, but the official word is that he "faces a battle to regain his fitness".
Re: [Match Thread] Ireland v Zimbabwe (World Cup Warm-Up)
Too bad for Rainsford. I hope he can regain fitness for the tournament as he is one of our few pace bowlers who isnt completely out of his depth. This is only a warmup game so the result isn't too disastrous, although losing to an associate side is never good. Ireland look to have a good team, they batted well against New Zealand last week.
