I think its a good case and a very easy one at that. Bookie instructs Captain that first 5 wickets must fall at a number divisable by 10.aydee wrote: That is not spot fixing.

...and because it's so "obvious" is the best argument that it's not.

Re: Australia Spot fixing against India
I was not happy with the alleged spot fixing during the Zim match. It was a no brainer that Aus would struggle against our World Class Spin Triangulate. The ICC "peaked early" in the tournament. They wanted to be seen as doing something and nobody was immune even Aus.
IF there ever was a fixable match this was it. With the chance of a SA type collapse India had lots to worry about.
Imagine the financial knock if India had been beaten.
Especially before a Ind/Pak semi final, in the subcontinent. That semi final is THE cash cow of the WC. Even Dhoni said this Semi final is more important.
Ponting agreed on the basis that he gets a decent exit with a ton. (I heard that Ponting smashed the TV when he saw that he had been run out by Mpofu. Well Mpofu has been doing his homework!)
So where are those knives which the ICC were quick to draw after the Zim performance.

The thing you've got to remember is that these investigations should take please in private. Word of the Aus v Zim one leaked out, but the chances of it being the only one from this World Cup? Remote. Every collapse (hello, Bangladesh and West Indies), every close shave (hi there, England) is going to be picked over by the ACU, you can bet on it. We just have no need to hear about it unless something is proven.
