“Our batsmen are best suited for the longer version of the game and I believe the likes of Hamilton Masakadza, Tino Mawoyo and Vusi Sibanda will give a good account of themselves in test cricket,” said Mangongo.
Bowling
Zimbabwean bowlers, who were impressive during the global showdown last month, will be faced with the task of having to take all their opponents’ wickets at least inside two days - and that worries Mangongo. “Our bowlers are good but their main challenge is taking more wickets during test cricket. They need to be prepared to be able to take 20 wickets so that we at least prove competitive and avoid abnormal totals by our opponents,” he said.
