Nathaniel Hlabangana finding the Rhinos Under 17s a bit easier than South Africa Under 19s
Is he the only guy still eligible from this year’s squad?
Looks like it.

There are a few who were quite close to the squad, like Dhruv Patel.

I don't think I realised Hlabangane was so young. Pleasantly surprised to learn he has another u19wc in him. He didn't get runs in SA but during his short times at the crease I thought he looked like he had something.

There's very little other talent in this age group. 2026 u19wc will be extremely difficult to watch.

As the hosts, will really need as good a performance as possible! Hopefully this week will be the start of a lot of development opportunities for this age group over the next 2 years!!

Larry Kwirirayi interviews Dirk Viljoen about the U17 week, the objectives etc, quite an interesting one, leaves to be seen if ZC gets to implement the ideas he was talking about, worth a listen

'General Manager Cricket Affairs' - sounds a lot like Director of Cricket to me? I wonder if he's getting a promotion to that? More clued up and more ideas in 1 interview than Masakadza had in 4 years by the sounds of it.

Good interview. Ya I'm sure he's the guy who's getting some traction. Also good that he has a son involved, that really helps him focus.
I wonder who the selectors and the converor are?

The one thing ZC always avoid doing is putting their plans down on paper in a public forum, that way they're less accountable. An interview is one thing, but a 1-5 year plan on paper on their website is a different matter.

The guy they need back in the fold is Gary Brent. It pains me deeply seeing him go. He is by far and away the best coach we've got.

His ICC ban extends to coaching and 'all cricket activities' so he can't be employed or used by ZC in any capacity until that expires
