Great slogging by Faraz but damn that last over cost us dearly. Top order still not coming to the party.

Raza looks very much short of any sort of form. Really annoyed at batting Bennett at 3 today, let him settle at 5.

Raza's at least being honest about how big a role he's had that he's let down, same for the other batters. Need him to pull his shit together.

Can the rest of the forum please finally admit now that as good as he is and has been for us, that he is not a world class player?
As I (and Pat) have been saying and getting grief for?

Someone mentioned a few days back that Raza was arguably the best Zimbabwean player ever. That's laughable

The closest that we have to world class though, at least.

He had an amazing run of form for 18 months but that really is the closest he’ll get to world class; winning an ICC player of the month poll on Facebook during some qualifier when the big sides aren’t playing.

He himself believes the hype though, releasing statements like ‘wherever I’m at I’ll play white ball matches for Zim’ like bro, we don’t even need you   bloody Wez could have got us the 2 runs he’s contributed this series ffs.

Still want to know why he opened in the qualifiers after they were already lost and not since, makes no sense other than for ego. If the experiment paid off and he opened all the time, fair enough I suppose. But that never happened.

No way he’s world class and no way he’s our best player ever. BT even on coke was a far better player. Williams is a better player.

The post above plumbs new depths on ZCF. Absolute shite if ever I've seen it.

That’s all facts and stuff that actually happened though

The only thing that may be shite is my opinion that BT and Williams were/are better players.

Exactly, not a world class player, still someone that Zimbabwe should hope to find a few others like him.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem that it is his, purported or not, world class standard which is at stake.
My impression is that he is lacking motivation by now.
He has been underperforming in the past 12 months.
Maybe he is 37 and he is more keen to profit out of T20 leagues around the world, at least as far as he is still be able to be wanted.
Starring in an underperforming national squad is likely that doesn't appeal him anymore.

This might be the issue with those who (once) were called the big three: it's not mainly a question of passing of time, rather it's maybe lack of motivation that at the end of a career is more difficult to have when results are not coming.
