I do have an issue with guys banging on about the Welch brothers etc.

Yes that are clearly good players but they do fuck all domestically, so I am OK about there non selection. If they are that good then they would be showing it.

I feel far more for Jonno Campbell who has a decent domestic record and was cast aside after one tough series against India.

Evidence shows that the selectors pick that guys who are at the top of the domestic charts, this is how Curran got his selection in Tests and ODIs, went away and scored lots of runs which gave the selectors no choice.

Very little evidence of guys scoring big runs domestically and not getting selected. The real victim there was probably Maruma who was never given a decent run.

I dont see the Frosts, Welch's, Campbell's or Curran hanging around too long.
This T20 squad pick for the last 2 years has shown there's no plan. You cant make a living here unless you are in the national squad, and even then its bread and water.

Regardless of how various guys have done domestically, there's at least 3 or 4 of them that know they've got more to offer than some of the incumbents. Imagine watching these guys for the last 2 years wondering how the hell they are in that side?
But those 3 or 4 guys do nothing domestically so how can they confident that they have more to offer?

Frost has indicated that he is prepared to knuckle down and earn his slot.

I hear you, but neither do the guys in the national side.

cremer picked today but no curran

the whole tournament is done and ever since taylor was ruled out, only cremer was in/out.

this just shows there is something happening which we arent aware of, how come munyonga plays the whole tournament and fails in almost all games. Yet, Curran stays on the bench. No more than 4 whites have played in this tournament for zim, you can check playing XI of all matches

Nick needs to be in the limited overs sides. It’s mindless. They honestly must hate him. Campbells aren’t good. So I don’t care, they can fall back on their trust funds. Nick needs to apologise or do whatever he needs to do, as he’s invested a lot in this now. What’s he gonna do after? Drip Tech or Tyre Zim? It’s a anti climax if I ever heard one. Frost isn’t international level. But is better than Musekiwa and Munyonga. It’s still pretty blatantly racist to a degree

A post said with so much confidence and yet so wildly wrong.

Munyonga average 19 domestically in T20, yet constantly get's selected, despite failing regularly at International level too.
Musekiwa averages 18 domestically, has always failed internationally.
Welch has a higher domestic average of 23, yet has only been given 7 T20I's
Maruma is almost 38 years old and has an average of 13 domestically, 11 at international level, and you want him to get more chances??

I'm only looking at T20, because if we look at FC, then the Welch brothers definitely have not done fuck all domestically.

Based on the evidence, the selectors definitely not picking the best of the domestic charts.

I’ve seen these guys and watched them for over a decade behind the scenes. Nick has X factor despite shooting himself in the foot off the field, and being average domestically. He’s got what it takes, and it’s clear if you watch. Half of these clowns don’t do anything domestically and don’t have anything about them whatsoever, yet get picked for years on end despite averaging near single figures.

Matt Welch doesn’t impress me. The Campbell’s have cricket brains, but have 5/10 talent. It’s pointless. Frost is white Musekiwa who bowls a bit, so he loses favour there for obvious reasons.

Both Campbells have a lot more to offer than the three guys we keep talking about, in all formats. Jonno is more limited but he's worked out his game. He scores runs.
NW is extremely frustrated, practices harder and harder and going thru a rough patch. He was actually set in a couple of those t20 games but they got rained off.
MF is a quality bowler, AF is a good bat.
Curran has really improved. Any one of these guys would have given a better account of themselves.
Dont forget these guys have had exposure and coaching for more than 18 months and honestly have little to show for it.
They do ok at associate level, but theyve had more than fair opportunity to step up and havent.
