A young fast bowler
This is mainly aimed at our very own Googly, so i was just wondering, with the withdrawl of Anthony Ireland and now Kyle Jarvis, where is our next white fast bowler coming from ? Is there anyone at school level.

Bradley Evans is one, but why should the colour matter?

color is often a factor (though I like the idea of it not being) ... hard to pretend otherwise. Do you think Dumisani/Tendai/Nongidzai... will be more inspired to take up cricket by Mpofu/Mawoyo/Masakadza/Matsi or by Williams/Taylor/Waller? It's not a hard and fast rule (and within all rules exceptions exist - sometimes often as in English pronunciation), but it's not one to dismiss outrightzimfan1 wrote:Agreed why he colour even a factor?CrimsonAvenger wrote:Bradley Evans is one, but why should the colour matter?

I think people get too uptight about white or black the poor guy is just asking if there are any young white quickies going around, it's not like he is saying there is anything wrong with the black dudes it's just a simple question ......
I am also keen to hear if there is another young white quickie coming through as I hope there is always a white presence in Zimbabwean cricket as it's history is of course based on the white players, and now with all these talented young black kids coming through Zimbabwe should be able to enjoy greater success by blending the two .....

maybe ... but I wasn't judging him but rather making a point that it can be a factor. \/\/\/\/\/
It's quite probable that he did inspire a generation.lloydwinini wrote:Olonga inspired an entire generation and watching him on tv was like watching an artist at work. 1 of the greatest eva to grace the red.

The two best white fast bowlers around are Calum Price & Nathan Waller. Calum Price averaged over 3 wickets per 50 over game in Glouctershire premier league but I believe he is not playing in Zimbabwe this season. Likewise for Nathan Waller he is instead going to an Aussie cricket academy for the next couple of months
