Paying the price for opposing Mangongo over dropping Masakada last week, I suspect.

There are now no selectors with first-class experience on the selection panel.

Re: Wayne James dropped from selection panel
So, the selector defends a guy who is coming off 93, 84, 62 and 7. And gets himself dropped from selection committee. No one can question it too. Madness. They have fast forwarded the kill.

I know it's an old article as I have been trawling WisdenIndia but worth reading if you happen to suffer from low blood pressure, are about to die and need a life-saving boost. I'm talking about ZCFOutkast's response.

I'm in awe of this dude. What a spin doctor. He comments on virtually every article and is plausible to an outsider. What I'm looking forward to are the thousands of youngsters being groomed in the wings waiting to take the cricketing world by storm and to save Zim Cricket. He's one of a kind. I think he believes himself. When all is said and done he will have a great story why his predictions failed to materialize and all the ex-Rhodies and the evil West will cop the blame.

Re: Wayne James dropped from selection panel
Just read the post and it just reaffirms the slippery slope that ZC has chosen . We have a selection panel with zero first class or list A experience and no one to be the voice of reason. The moves have been made and all we can do as fans is watch as the new administration unveils its master plan.

Freddy Kupuya is Zanu Pf, wants no whites so the stealing can accelerate and also has 4ft 4 short man angry syndrome.
These guys can only act so boldly if they have players representitive Eliah Zvimba in their pocket. Where is and what is Eliah Zvimba doing??

Another nail in the coffin. In German you would call this "Gleichschaltung" (forcible-coordination/enforced conformity), a term coined by the Nazis when they came to power and took control of every aspect of state and society (and of course sport).
Re: Wayne James dropped from selection panel
I hate politics, just another excuse for division in society!!
Re: Wayne James dropped from selection panel
Our politically motivated board banging in the final nails in the coffin. Zimbabwe cricket has become so weak that most Saturday social cricket sides would give them a good game. It also showed in the finals of the national league where Country Club that was made up of Malcolm Waller, Steve Trenchard, Calum Price and a bunch of school boys beat Masvingo, which was made up entirely with players from the Rocks. Is there another sport we can start supporting ? - maybe rugby as the national setup seems to be well run and improving.
Re: Wayne James dropped from selection panel
I think I'm at the stage where I want to see the team thumped every game,
So I can sit back and laugh at this joke on the world stage, so everyone else can see how crap zim are.
You want to chase away talented people just because their white lol you can have your banana republic and let the world have a laugh. A few people are talking about it here in Sydney (because Australia are playing) and you can see the smirk on their faces.
Just feel sorry for the innocent people/fans who just want to watch and play
