Re: Franchise 'B' League Fixtures
This competition started today... Unsurprisingly, no news...
Re: [Series Thread] Franchise 'B' League
http://www.chronicle.co.zw/inside.aspx? ... 5133&cat=5Meanwhile in Bulawayo Tuskers chief executive officer Stanley Staddon expressed his happiness for the all-round performances so far in both the A and B sides.
"I am very happy with the way, the boys are playing. Both coaches have done a good job, hopefully they will continue with the good form," said Staddon.
Tuskers B's Terrence Duffin and Mark Vermeulen went on a rampage with the bat powering a first wicket patnership of 123. Duffin hasn't played cricket in two months. He fell nine runs short of a century while Vermeulen made a 60-ball 81 runs after clearing the boundary 13 times for four and once for six.
Mid West Rhinos had batted first and made 231 all out were Tuskers Godwin Mhamhiyo took three for 33 and Mbekezeli Mabuza claimed two for 17 runs. Geoge Banda made 72, Duncan Robertson 64, while Brighton Mugochi managed 29 making these the only batsmen to contribute significant scores at Bulawayo Athletics Club.
Re: [Series Thread] Franchise 'B' League
Why is George Banda playing for the Rhinos? I thought he was from Masvingo?
Re: [Series Thread] Franchise 'B' League
hopefully alot of the U19s players from the WC team filter through into this competition if they arnt already members of squads zimbabwe cricket is starting to look as if it has some depth its just a shame that the tuskers squad is so overstacked with quality players

We have one scorecard to hand

A pretty comprehensive win for Tuskers i think, good to see the likes of Duffin, Vermeulen and Mugochi playing some cricket and i'm really pleased to see Tarisai Mahlunge in the Rhinos side as captain and keeper, so why hasn't he played a single 1st team game for Rhinos this season ?

Very strong looking Tuskers top 6 for that level of competition. Encouraging performance from Mamhiyo, who is the nation U18 skipper if I am not wrong...
Re: [Series Thread] Franchise 'B' League
Who is Duncan Robertson. I can't say I am familiar with this player.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes
Re: [Series Thread] Franchise 'B' League
Played a couple of first team games for the Rhinos when the national team players were unavailable, but didn't score anything. That's all I've got...eugene wrote:Who is Duncan Robertson. I can't say I am familiar with this player.

Not much news about this... Would be interesting to see who's playing and performing well...
