Give them time, they have have done well in the local leagues to warrant selection so lets see how they do.Lon live Zimbabwe's Renaissance and may they settle into their best 11 so let them find themselves and the selectors find their best XI.

For now lets support and hope that we settle into our best XI

Utsea won't be dropped. That is for certain. But that doesn't mean the pressure is off. Dave Houghton is a strict coach, and poor decisions on the field will only tempt him to strip Prosper from the Captaincy. But like Tinashce Ruswa said, give him time... :P

Settling is not what the Zimplayers need, these guys have been settled for more than 4 years with no results, more than 50 ODI Games, we need changes now, people should start working hard just to be in the squad, tired of same old faces, no progress.

I agree with shumbat in that this team has been rather settled and is very experienced. Players like Sibanda and Matsikenyeru have been playing international cricket for 8 years and yet they still struggle.

Well to begin with, Matskinyeri has never been an international cricketer. But Sibanda has some class about him. He's got a very solid technique, as good as anybodys in this Zimbabwean side. I'd like to see if Sibanda can answer his critics and bounce back because when he's on form, he's great to whatch !!

I have been thinking about Greg Lamb a bit the last few days. He seems to have the temperament to hang around at the pitch and bat time. I don't know how many of you are familiar with the former opening test batsmen from New Zealand called Mark Richardson, but he and Greg Lamb have a few similarities. Batting time was never a problem for Mark Richardson and so he was entrusted with the role of opening the batting in tests. he had a rather limited technique but made the most of his abilities and immense concentration and became a very successful opener. I wonder if Greg Lamb could fulfill a similar role once Zimbabwe return to test cricket. A player who can see off the new ball and score 30 to 40 runs is very valuable at the top of the order. I wonder what other peoples thoughts are on this matter.

Lamb is no batsman by any stretch of imagination so forget thinking of makin him an opener. The role of Mark Richardson can be played by our former skipper and opener who scored 50 on test debut against india. Yup, terrance duffin. Ebrahim is much better than lamb too. Lamb is just a no. 9 tailender and cremer plays better than him.
By the way, u guys remember the horrendous caught-n-bowl dismissal of lamb in 4th ODI? Even Mpofu will b ashamed of that.

Yeah i agree. Mark Richardson had a solid technique, maybe not the flamboyant stroke play of Virender Sehwag, but solid none the less. Greg Lamb just wouldn't suit the role. Ja Terrance Duffin would be by number 1 choice, and perhpas Trevor Gripper if he returns.
