Eddie Rainsford is certainly looking the part. 3 very important wickets to his name.

im an eagles fan but i would love to rainsford in any Zimbabwean squad.
Poor start here to eagles but if lamb chigumbura can put a score together then where still in this.

Reckon this one's heading for a draw, personally.
EDIT: Actually, I take that back - I'd forgotten the final was a 5-dayer. But Eagles really haven't been themselves so far, at the moment Rhinos are firmly in charge. I blame the combination of Eagles being out-of-practice after a long layoff, and the coaching change enforced by Silverwood's return to England.

Looks like Lamb and Chigumbura are showing there class. Lamb gets a lot of stick but if we played a test match tommorow he would be one of the first names in the middle order as he has the temperament. However i do admit that his batting is unproven in the shorter format

agree with you zimfan about lamb in test. Zim needs a batter that will just hang aroung while others can feed off him

Well batted Greg Lamb. Just keep scoring runs and prove to the selectors that you've got real talent, well done
Well batted Chigs, just helping boosting his pedigree even further
And Cremer's wicketless
Now that's a first

Just one wicket taken by Rhinos in a full days' play. That's not good.sloandog wrote:And Cremer's wicketlessNow that's a first
...unless you're an Eagles supporter.

Re: [Match Thread] Logan Cup Final: Eagles v Rhinos
Way to go Eagles they surely dusted off the rust quick enough. We are in a good position now to take this game. I would mind Lamb getting a really big. To be honest I have never been his biggest fan.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'

...and they went completely to pieces this morning, from 400/5 to 451 all out. Grrr.
Still, a 1st-innings lead of 87 isn't to be sneezed at - should have been a lot better, though.
