Sorry I don't. I know boys in New Zealand and they've said he looks a class act with the bat and nippy with the ball. About 83-85 Mph tops. Apparently he's an electric fielder aswell.Zimfanatic69 wrote:nochp wrote:there is nothing spectacular about colin so new zealand you can have him.

go look at his profile and tell me why zimcricket fans should be worried about losing him. just because he plays in new zealand it does not make him a good player statistics dont lie.http://www.cricinfo.com/zimbabwe/conten ... 55395.html

Maybe you're being mistaken with another Colin de Grandhome because his stats are good.nochp wrote:go look at his profile and tell me why zimcricket fans should be worried about losing him. just because he plays in new zealand it does not make him a good player statistics dont lie.http://www.cricinfo.com/zimbabwe/conten ... 55395.html

Remember that averaging in the 30s in New Zealand is like avaeraging in the 40s in other countries. New Zealand's pitches aren't always very batter friendly.

Those first-class numbers actually compare pretty reasonably with a certain Sean Ervine...
Obviously I'm not saying that de Grandhomme is that good, but anyone who plays for NZ A would be a useful addition to Zim domestic cricket at the very least. Remember that Greg Lamb was playing minor country cricket in England in 2009...

have they redefined the word good ?
his stats are average. he is a 23 year old with a batting average just over 33 and a bowling average just over 30. that is not good. it is average. it is run of the mill. it is dime a dozen.
i agree with the sentiment shown here.
if he wants to go then go and good riddance. he can enjoy anonymity playing in new zealand.

Put ya dummy back in mate, nobody blames him for leaving, New Zealand provided better cricket quality and a future in cricket when he left....
