Great start for Zim with 3 wickets, Ireland seem to be treating these as 20/20 games throwing the bat at everything

Masakadza getting some stick though, his career figures are now 6-0-63-3, ouch :?

Nice to see such enterprising selections, it would be nice if they left Rhinos with somebody to use as a bowler though ;)

Unless there is a marked improvement in this match from him I doubt he will make the south african trip.- What the ireland Batters do to him is nothing compared to greame smith, kallis and co :?

Its strange that Chigumbura doesn't bowl well or many overs because his bowling was his strength in England and seemed to have a consisitent english summer (unfortunatly not so much with bat). Would it be anything to do with the Zim conditions as to why he doesn't bowl much?

Dear oh dear, here we go again :?

Like very good hosts Zim are giving as many presents as possible to the visitors in the hope of losing at least one of these games

Nicolson takes his first ODI wicket and now has 1-44 from 5 overs while Mini Masakadza has 0-35 from 4

Thank goodness for Rainsford who has a career best 5-25 from 8 overs so far

214-9 from 47 the latest

A run out finishes the Irish innings on 244 from 49.4 overs

Well done to most of the bowlers for some fairly tight returns, Ed Rainsford ends with a career best 5-36 while Nicolson and Masakadza return a joint 10.4-0-96-1 ........

Rainsford manages 10th place in the best ODI bowling figures

And now for another nail biting innings .......... :?

At least our batters are being tested at chasing down totals. Too bad about our bowling though. Even though we want to improve our pace bowling it is clear that we should include as many spinners as possible when it counts (i.e. world cup) as that is where our strength lies.

Thats a good thing ourbatting is being tested coz we have always thought it was our best department. So it means our batsmen are always working than being relaxed

If this another escape act then it's going to have to be a good one

A maiden 100 for Ed 'Man of the Series' Rainsford perhaps :D
