They were down in the Cape and what I/people saw we do have something to work with ...they should foster on with these players and shouldn't just lose this batch though the cracks like what happened with ours wc 2002 or elements of the 2006 team......WE cudve been killing em by now....But true story the U19's..are the future..err one who we played against is doing well @ Tim Bresnan, @Tom Paine @ Alister Cook..Even though we do have most in our current team they aint fared well..

Imagine if we had the Glen Goosens, C DeGrandhommes, S Marisas, T Mufambisis, Chirindas etc etc of this world we wud have a nice FC structure...we do now but it would have been stronger!!

All the best for our cricket here on in!!

Zimbabwe under 19 tie with South Africa Invitational IX (237 each)
G.Mamhiyo, M.Bentley and C.Price all bowled well and G.Mamhiyo made a 50.

Don't suppose you've got a link to the scorecard for that one (and the Cubs Week results)? Haven't been able to track any of them down yet...

1St ODI: SA won toss and opted to bat. SA closed on 266/8 (50 overs; Price 98, Bentley 3/62). Zim require 267 to win at 5.34/over.

A decent performance by the boys.I did not expect them to be this competitive given their recent dire performances . Its good to see a few boys who were born outsite the two cricket major cities( Bulawayo and Harare). It looks like Mutare will soon be the powerhouse of Zimbabwe cricket. Well done boys . I hope they keep improving with each game they play cuaz there is some real talent in this team. :o :o :o

I know i keep bringing this up, but it's good to see a nice blend of white and black cricketers coming through the ranks.
I couldn't care less if it was an all black side or an all white side, but it just shows that there's now no racial divide between the two

This under 19 side has got to believe it can beat S.A . They have to get K.Jennings and J.Price out early. K.Jennings is very solid and just waits for the bad ball while J.Price is a very destructive batsman that can ruin any bowlers figures. Yesterday during the power play he hit his relative C.Price for 25 off one over after being dropped off the first ball and then K.Bowie for 16 off the following over. Get these two out early and Zim has a chance of winning.
