[Match Thread] Eagles v Tuskers (Logan Cup)
Re: [Match Thread] Eagles v Tuskers (Logan Cup)
NZ is probably suited to him - so if he is available to go and keeps taking bags of wickets...

Tend to agree with hhm here Jemisi not only do we seem hell bound on rushing any glimmer of talent into the deep end..why don't we nature these guys, yes rope the odd prodigy in early but by and large manage these guys, the future looks very bright if we can hang on to these guys, Qurel, Chinouya, Chatara, Meth, Vitori, Ncube, Jarvis, and even Mpofu, this is a good glut of quicks, and with variety as well...but I think we need to manage these guys well, expose them gradually in the tour games, and plenty FC, spread them nicely among the franchises and we really could be onto something here... We can afford to take our time with these guys unlike the class of 2004 where we had no choice...
Good knock Horton, Ervine (corner turned?, I hope so, but needs to be sustained) and Dabengwa good touch continues...

Sorry... should have written *sarcasm*, I was agreeing with Hhm. I know, I know, it is happening a lot lately.

Eagles have collapsed fron 45-3 to 49-7

Not that surprising, the Logan Cup teams this week remind me of the dark years.

Have said it before, if the National Team gives us back Mpofu, never used Meth, and now Ncube, a full strength Tuskers (with our friends Hortn&Wheater) can beat this Zimbabwe Team in both Limited & FC series. I can bet my money on that big time! Vitori, Jarvis, Taylor, Price have nothing on this side!

Mixed results. Matsi was due a modest score, I just hope it's not because he's frustrated that he didn't get a look in for Zim XI against NZ. Duffin always does his best to see off the new ball patiently, but he hasn't been converting the starts unfortunately - takes nothing away from his pedigree as an opener (toughest job for a batsman at any level), it'll happen sooner rather than later. Ewing as usual does not adjust his strike rate downwards between formats. For as long as the opposition fails to dislodge him we're up for a big score - we need that kind of player in our middle order. He missed out on this one. If only he could bowl more. But I'm glad all this class surrounding him will make Craig a better player. The young man's got talent and I think in the long run Forster/Waller won't keep him away from 6 in our batting order.FlowerPower wrote:I see Ewing, Matsi and Duffin on show here, what do you make of them hhm? On a separate note Staddon upped his game this time around. He's been expensive of late and not striking enough, which is why Mboyi has been promoted above him, so that should've lit a fire up his backside. Great job in supprting Querl.
Have you guys noticed this funny trend: Jarvis&Vitori who all have less experience edged the guys who did well last season Meth&Chatara. Now Ncube appears and despite the long wait by meth, he's playing a Test match for us. Very soon Querl might even jump Meth! What on earth is going on?

Raisnford (& Panyangara) will do the job in FC level year after year. Their results can only get better. That's what is expected of proven performers!
Pretty sure Ireland will be glad Rainsford won't be bowling to them if they do come down here early next year.
