Knowing the politics in ZC and having been warned in advance, it was poor on Vusi's side to give value to B grade cricket.

Exactly, Vusi has blown his chance to play in NZ all for B-grade cricket. He deserves the blame for this one. If he had bothered to read ZCF he would have seen us all saying that playing in Sydney would endanger his place in the side. I will say it again - Vusi gambled and lost, lost big time.

knowing the politics in ZC, you are surprisingly trusting of campbell's insistence that things were clear to Vusi ... anyway ...

yup, he did. well, let's say he gambled without being aware to look for hidden aces up sleeves. They f**king let him cut a paying contract short to return to join the Zim squad, knowing they would not select him. If this was the wild west Vusi'd be calling someone into robert mugabe street at noon.

I bet this is the last time he will go and play 'C' grade club cricket instead of playing in Zimbabwe.

i saw post on facebook either on zimcricker backstage or zimbzbwe cricket where someone claimed that he talked to Vusi and that Vusi accepted his fate and understood what happened. Have been looking for the post all evening and cant find it. Must havw been deleted.

i certainly think that he will have a diplomatic answer but wont go into the details. We need some good investigative journalism to expose ZC there is a gold mine of a story there, but with its links to Zanu I am sure journos wont even touch ZC cos of a real fear od disappearing. Do we have ANY investigative journalists in Zim?

He could go and play D-grade club cricket in Taranaki with Dion Ebrahim I guess.

You mean the kind that has or will soon see him earn a contract to play for Central Districts in NZ's premier FC competition (with more money than the FC contract Vusi turned down, & our T20, which is even less than what Vusi got in Grade Cricket) alongside the likes of Guptil, DV, McCullums, Ross, Marto, Southee, Bennet, Brownlie, Franklin, Williamson, de Grandhomme, Ryder etc?

I am ovwr the Vusi saga after two weeks of breathing good ol Mutare, fresh air and drinking fresh water, am back in the sunshine city and its back to work.

i will rest my case with the Vusi issue with the conviction that the rule issue was just a smoke screen and there is much more behind the scenes punching. i would love to hear Vusi side now. i asked Firdose after the AC interview and she said she could not get any comment from Vusi. i think we deserve a statement...

bring on NZ...
