Neither stubbs nor Rick have done anything in recent times in T20 internationals. I've always rated De Zorzi and Ferreria is a beast who is in fine form. Not a complete blow. Leaving out Gerald Coetzee is what worries me. I'd rather have him than Bosch at the moment

Bosch is a better bat. I just dont see Ferreira and DZ being better than Stubbs and Rick. Miller seems on the wane.

Imagine being able to leave out Van Der Dussen??

Yea I can't believe Rassie is out. I think Ferreira is just as dangerous as Stubbs in T20 cricket, and he's in form, so I really don't mind his inclusion. Stubbs is hands down the better all round batter though, I agree.

DZ I just like because he scores in weird places against spin. He's got this grip which seems to facilitate him hitting gaps square of the wicket, plus he's a monster to anything short.

Bosch is a better batter I agree, but he goes for plenty with the ball. Coetzee has a better slower ball and because of his height I think could extract more bounce. I am glad that Bosch is finally getting the career he's deserved for the last 5 years though!

There's every chance that theyre going to reshuffle the draw to accomodate Bangladesh not having to play in India.
If not reshuffle then at least move venues.

The ICC never allowed Pakistan the same accomodation, althought it did allow India's one to avoid playing CT games in Pakistan. There is no way the ICC will even entertain Bangladesh's concerns, no matter how valid they may be. The situation is volatile and ever changing, a real powder keg.

Its also a huge logistical hurdle. Its not so simple...there are at least 4 other teams in the group who's hotels, flights, training facilities would all have to be shuffled. Its a logistical nightmare.

Unless the BCB backs down, they have little choice but to skip the tournament. Will save BD fans from having to watch another spineless campaign.

In the future they may be able to work out a Pakistan-India solution of neutral venues but its not possible for this World Cup.

They should stop hosting tournaments in India, the political situation there is simply too unreliable. Just host everything in England, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the UAE until the Asians can sort themselves out.

Very sensible idea. I'd add West Indies to the list of potential hosts. In fact, the UAE can be the surrogate host for the Asian Test nations. World Class facilities and accomodations...3 grounds (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah) is all you really need...maybe two more smaller venues, but with the ICC/Emirati money that shouldn't be a problem at all. And like England, UAE ensures that almost every team will be able to fill the stands. Neutral games in India or even Australia are played in front of an empty stadium.

But I highly doubt the BCCI will allow that.

Who remembers Zimbabwe v Kenya at Eden Gardens in 2011? 15 match tickets were sold and a 2-3,000 were given free entry and stayed about 20-30 overs. The capacity of the ground is 68,000.
