Wouldnt you take Faraz over Munyonga as your 7th spot guy..aydee wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 10:35 pmPeople keep peddling that line about Faraz's batting. It's nonsense. The sample size is absurdly small.Pat_Bee wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 12:22 pmThe sponsor has as good as or better t20i batting stats than razdawgfactos. Literally those two and Bennett at the top of the tree if you’re playing the stats based merit game. And what game is the merit game if not based on stats? Agree with tawac on this. I’d be picking him as a batter who may in some circumstances give you an over, I wouldn’t be picking him as a frontline bowler.
Razdawg shouldn’t be considered for selection for the world cup if he’s prioritising ILT20 over his own domestic league![]()

If BT and Maru are intended to be in the starting XI then you need Clive (or someone else) as the sub keeper. The sub keeper needs to be an actual sub, not someone else in the playing XI.
BT’s t20i stats have actually improved since his comebackbefore that he was literally as good as Wez, now he’s slightly better. I wouldn’t pick him if I was Colts or Alistair though, he isn’t the same player since he got off the gear and could legitimately qualify for that over 40’s side in the other thread

Cricket Namibia announced Gary Kirsten as a consultant for their men's team. What does Zimbabwe have
?
Re: T20 Domestic Cricket - 1st Round Schedule
Look at the entirety of their two careers as batter. It's a night and day comparison in Tony's favour. With 2 of the top 6 bowling regularly, and Bennett also a reasonable option, there is only space for a batter (or possibly a keeper) at 7, not an allrounder.Mueddie28 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 4:00 amWouldnt you take Faraz over Munyonga as your 7th spot guy..aydee wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 10:35 pmPeople keep peddling that line about Faraz's batting. Re: T20 Domestic Cricket - 1st Round Schedule
Luke Jongwe and Milton Shumba are back to strengthen the Tuskers side. Good performance from them will make things interesting because they would fit perfectly in the lower middle order. To imagine Shumba is only 25 years old yet it feels like he has been around forever. He is one player that never kicked on.

Re: T20 Domestic Cricket - 1st Round Schedule
I think they should have added the u19s as a select team to make it six teams. They already got them playing 2 day games. T20s add a pressure element which they won't feel until they play the big guns at the world cup.
Re: T20 Domestic Cricket - 1st Round Schedule
Milton is notoriously slow at T20. He's a decent player, but he's played 44 internationals. 44 internationals!!!!tawac wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 7:28 amLuke Jongwe and Milton Shumba are back to strengthen the Tuskers side. He is absolutely not solving any lower middle order problems. Another guy given red carpet treatment as a junior and not kicking on. Given early opportunities when he wasn't ready for that level and told he was the future at least once a week. I rate him though, given the right coaching and environment I reckon he could make himself relevant again.
T20 is not his game currently.
We know what Jongwe needs to do. Bowl 135 and improve his batting. Personally i think his time has come and gone.
He's a prime example, along with Musekiwa, of a guy that needs to bat further up the order in domestic, spend more time in the middle and improve his batting.
Re: T20 Domestic Cricket - 1st Round Schedule
Munashe Chimusoro goes for 29(21). He seems a very busy cricketer. Always looking for opportunities to score. Half decent keeper as well. Clearly one to watch.

Re: T20 Domestic Cricket - 1st Round Schedule
Half decent innings from Madande 53(31)* being innovative and playing shots all around straight for the training book. It was wrong for ZC to push him back into the side straight from injury. He needed time in domestic cricket to get back on the horse as it were.

Some rank captaincy from Eagles. He got off to a good start courtesy of 2 buffet balls, then Myers and Madhevere bowled a heap of rubbish to him. You can only play what's in front of you but he literally got 4 decent balls. Nice clean strike for 6 off a Chivanga bouncer which was a great shot.
