I don't think other countries are in that much of a hurry to poach players, it's not like they're short of talent themselves. I mean look at Matigimu- he's been in SA for years with no FC exposure, they haven't fast tracked him, he's had to do his time. Madhevere would have to do 3 years in FC, never mind what the immigration requirements are, and they'd be tougher than the cricket regs. None of our guys are going anywhere. There's no such thing as swapping countries at will, it requires some sort of ancestry and someone pulling some big strings to get it done in anything under 5 years. That's a lifetime in cricket.
The only Zim player to ever get blatant red carpet treatment is Muyeye. He's had a very ordinary start this season as well. They bat him at 3 and 4 in that Kent side which means they rate him hugely, and of course he's very good.
As a fact the South Africans don't like Zimbos, and the black guys in particular. The xenophobia there is outrageous.
And in the UK in cricketing circles they perceive Zimbos to be a poor man's South African. They don't like us much there either.

In saw the game in parts and Tanaka Chivanga looked quick, have they hired some bowling coach or is it still Douglas Hondo?
Chivanga spent most of the time complaining, shaking his head, looking at the pitch, pretending to be injured, talking to the umpire etc. as usual. As always.

He might be alright in a Test attack but judging by his attitude and demeanour I wouldn’t trust him in a high pressure LOI situation

Is there any chance of getting myers back.

It was only last year he did an interview with a zimbabwe newspaper where he was claiming he would be in zimbabwe side for years to come and wants to win a world cup 😁😂

Seriously Myers is wasting his talent, what a good player he looked. Was a regular in the side and then he does this. What a shame.

Ya i mean he has got good pace and can be groomed. Ideally in white ball I'd like to see Blessing, Ngarava, Evans and Tiripano as the bowling attack.

This could be a good line up for T20 WCQ:

Chakabva
Ervine
Williams
Madhevere
Raza
Shumba
Burl
Evans
Wellington
Ngarava
Blessing
-------------------------
Tiripano
Jongwe
Marumani
Madande

Wellington can also make way for Tiripano/Jongwe in the playing XI as Wessley, Raza, Burl, Williams can all bowl spin, or play an extra batter in Madande.

I'm very keen on Brad Evans making the main XI. I hope the selectors realize his importance.

This looks good to me. Probably what I’d go with too.

Although I’m not convinced Burl batting at 7 and bowling 1 or 2 overs really adds much at all. Maybe a bit of a luxury.

In response to the above comments, sorry the tagging was getting messed up so I ignored it.

Victor Nyauchi is the second best bowler in the country behind Blessing. Everyone keeps ignoring me but he proves it every time he plays. He is the quickest we have and has the habit of always taking wickets.

To me he should be second to blessing but also include Ngrava in an 11 to make it a really dangerous pace bowling attack. Every other bowler can bat so we can afford to play 3 bowlers.

He topped the wicket charts throughout first class and the t20s. He will prove it in Nepal just wait and see.
