He would make that argument himself, but clearly hasn't succeeded as easily in the Logan Cup now has he. Apart from the Rocks bring me some evidence!
You've got things upside down. You don't infer from one players performances how much quality the competition has. You infer from the quality of the competition how well a player is doing.

That was my point. Since you want to disparage Jarvis so much, and he is doing pretty well, you then come up with the notion that somehow the Logan Cup had improved by about 50%.

A full strength Tuskers would be competitive in the Plunkett shield, but would not win it. My poor Rocks would not make 100 very often and would face massive innings defeats every game. The others would lose more often than they won. It isn't like the class is completely different like Div 1 CC or Shield or SA Franchises, but there is a clear gap.

I am sure if Rainsford were bowling as well in NZ as Jarvis is, hhm would be proclaiming that these NZ domestic sides are as strong as the Australian team and than Rainsford is clearly dismantling a vastly superior opposition.

It makes absolutely no sense to try to justify why a player would be 100% better in NZ(against better batsemen) than in Zim(against inferior bastmen)! Your reasoning is laughable! Going by your thinking, let's 'infer' from the quality of the Logan Cup perspective:

Jarvis FC matches:
vsRocks Masvingo: His partners outbowled him and in comparison the Rocks bowled better to the superior Eagles batsmen.
vsMountaineers Mutare: Once again countless seamers outperformed him. As far as the Eagles were concerned, he was as good as absent!
vsRocks HSC: Maybe eugene is right - conditions more suited to him - 10 wickets. Except, were it not for the innings defeat, Vitori&Panyangara were looking to reap plenty as well - against better batsmen.
vsMountaineers HSC: Similar HSC seamfriendly venue, once again a better perfromance, but far more average considering the superior batting. Still, Shingi&Manatsa exploit the conditions far better.[/i]

14 wickets in 2 Logan Cup matches against the Rocks(10 being from just one of those@HSC), but only 6 wickets in 2 matches against the Mountaineers(just 3 of which were top 7). Granted, he didn't do well in slower wickets, but even in more helpful conditions in Zim, other seamers still did better.

The good thing is Shingi also bowled in NZ, and did better, in both the tour match and the Test so there's basis to assume he would also do well in the Plunkett Shield - as would Tiripano, Chatara, Manatsa etc! Just accept the fact that the Logan Cup is almost as good and quit creating a chasm that doesn't exist. Not just the Tuskers Jemisi, but the Rhinos, Mountaineers & Eagles would do just as well :!:

Rainsford and Panyangara have already done well against vastly superior opposition at grounds in similar conditions in England - at even younger ages(Panyangara doing so against a lot of the current NZ 1st XI batsmen when they toured Zimbabwe no long ago )! They don't have to knock over Reece Young in a plunkett Shield match in order to prove that eugene!

How do you reckon the Rocks would fare in NZ domestic cricket? Do you think that the likes of Manatsa and Querl who made their first class debuts this year, could average under 20 with the ball? Do you reckon Ballance or Wessels could average 70/80 with the bat?

Panyangara bowling well in England. I seem to remember a 17-ball over or something in the Champions Trophy.

My reasoning is laughable, Hhm?

I think I'll take that as a compliment.
