No because he’s busy in the U.K. and also you need to score consistent runs at franchise level, not club level, before you should be considered.

The NPL is a really good thing but let’s not kid ourselves about the quality and standard on display. Outside the top 4-5 teams it is very poor and it isn’t a good indicator.

Anyway, two of the good teams - Takashinga and Uprising - are on here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPJY85u ... bweCricket
I did stipulate dark horse and in no way advocating him to be parachuted in next series.
This match he has scored runs against nyauchi and hondo so not a poor attack by any means.
Lets see how he goes in logan cup and 50 overs.
I’m not sure he’ll play in those. His intention was always university so I assume that’s where he has been the past year or two. Unless that has fallen through or not gone to plan?

I wonder if Mahachi is any relation to former Matebeleland and CFX player Clement? I just remembered what a great guy he was - often bumped into him at Kwekwe 10-15 years ago when he was a assistant coach with Rhinos, absolute top fella.

Any idea when the franchise season is likely to start?

I've heard October 3rd mooted. But in reality even ZC probably don't know yet  Probably find out the day before like usual.

Surely they can give players a month's notice, it's not too much to ask.
