Imagine an England team with Sam Curran, Welch and maybe even some more Zimbo's !!!!
I will have mixed feelings as I can't stand the Poms but obviously have a very soft spot for the Zimbo's .....

What? You guarantee that he'll be playing for England by the time he's 19? That's a big call.Googly wrote:By the time he is 19, I guarantee. he is a superb batsman as well.
I was watching him bowl in last nights game, 17 years old....WOW!

Brom scored 89 for Somerset 2's yesterday at a strike rate of 103! His last three scores have been 179*, 52 and now 89. Looking forward to hopefully seeing him on the county scene

Ya I'm prepared to wager he'll be fast tracked like Cook was, only difference is he's potentially a lot better than Cook. It's always difficult to know how easily a player with ability can deal with the next level, it's easier to deal with a poor couple of games as a bowler than as a batter so they can afford to play him early. Everything they've done for him so far has indicated that he's ear marked. Even in Surrey Firsts he should be batting at 7 right now. He'll go up the order just now, they'll pick a game where there isn't anyone too hostile, just to be sure. A couple more decent games by EB and they will give him a game in Firsts as well. You either persevere with journeyman professionals whose abilities you know, or you take a chance and blood a younger promising player whose levels remain to be seen.

Maybe Zimbabwe Cricket should just move overseas

I don't get why we can't just pick these guys. In what other sport do players have to play in their own domestic setup?
