Looking pretty ugly - this T20 series...
Re: Zimbabwe XI to Play South Africa "A"
There are two ways to look at it, one way is to say that these 'A' games are mainly meant for improving the team and results don't matter as much, while the other way to see this is that these kind of thrashings won't do any good to the confidence of these players and Zimbabwe do lack some depth.

A games is the stage where a domestic performer are tested how much they are ready for international level. Results do matter as performance gives boost and open doors for a performer in the national side.
I dont think Zim have ever chased 200+ in T20s at any level. Neither the players know that art of chasing big totals in T20.This type of tracks will be expected in qualifiers as ICC promoted T20Is as batsman game with thrilling finish through flat tracks.

I do agree that Zimbabwe need big improvements, we saw pretty decent stuff in ODs but they are getting brutally exposed on T20s... Probably they will do well in ODs against Nepal too.
But it is how it is, we cannot compare Zimbabwe with the big teams, so i keep my expectations low. It is all about moving forward from here on. 3 more T20s here, 5 against Namibia, and another 5 against a very strong Afghanistan side. Hopefully that should improve the team to some extent.
T20 WCQs are huge, Zimbabwe cannot afford a slip up there, let's see how it goes. On paper I would still fancy Zimbabwe and Netherlands to go through.

Why do you continually troll, criticise and yet know fuck all about what happens here? Haven't you got vegetables to sell?Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Wed May 04, 2022 12:14 pmA games is the stage where a domestic performer are tested how much they are ready for international level. They all gave it a go from the beginning ..can't blame the approach or can't say they were playing for practice ..some pretty selfless shot by mutombodzi etc trying to chase the target
