After losing 4-1 to Bangladesh after four ODI's and a T20 of the West Indies tour would you guys as Zimbabwe fans of settled for Two wins and three losses?

I know i would of.
That's a fair point. But I think expectations were raised after winning the T20 and 1st ODI, it proved we could win in the Caribbean - and frankly, playing the same side that got so soundly trashed in the 3rd ODI makes no sense and creates a certain amount of resentment. A changed side might not have done any better, but at least it would have signalled to poor performers that their place wasn't guaranteed.

It's also worth pointing out that we were in much the same position as this in the T20 and went on to win it. Depends on how much fighting spirit the bowlers have, and what they can get out of the pitch.

When i turned my TV on at 1.25pm i was expecting a few changes !! Why the hell is Matskinyeri still in the side ?? Coventry (For the 100th time) should play !! Our batting is so fragile at the monet it's unbelievable. Hammie got a genuinly good delivery, but the rest were just poor poor shots. I'm not even going to whath anymore as i'm worried that i'll loose interest in Zimbabwean Cricket. :(

Chigs gone, and all hope goes with him. We just need to salvage some pride from this match now, by taking wickets !! A certain Mr Charles Coventry should have played atleast 2 games in this series. If he's not selected in the 5th and final ODI, i'll eat my own head ;)

Just one of those days im afriad but lets not forget how well we played in the first three games of the tour.

This is a long road that we are on and it will not happen overnight. The most important thing is to identify the players who can take Zimbabwe to the next level. so far we only have 6 players in the current sqaud who i feel can do that.

Masakadza
Taibu
Taylor
Chigumbura
Price
Cremer

We despratly need to identify a couple of middle order batsman (Williams being one) and a couple of fast bowlers.

On the batting sides i think Chibabha after his T20 exploits needs to be looked at with maybe a look at Craig Ervine. Hopefully Blignaut will come back into the side.

To be fair to some of the lads out there
, they've sown enough glimpses of a good team in the near future. My problem is the collapse of belief in our team and the lack of plan B. WI has our number now, so how do we respond?

Why is Taylor immune to criticism on this forum? Why is he never a candidate to be dropped? Everyone praises him yet he's efforts agaisnt Bangladesh, S.Afr and the W.I have been poor to say the least (Yes he made a century against Banladesh only when the series was over). In time he might be a player but to me he still has a long way to go. And once again why does Mutizwa's name hardly ever come up as a possible replacement?

Look at his stats, he has the highest average in the team and has scored the most half centuries, yes i accept he is not in his best form at the moment but the class it there.

Mutizwa has a very iffy technique which will be badly exposed against quick international class bowling.
