Guys, when was the last time Zimbabwean XI was more experienced than Proteas?

You guys gotta believe.
Guessing you've not been through what we have...

How can we expect to believe when they do things like select chigumbura, and are 44/4 after 16?

Yeah this is poor, several senior players back, should have done better really.

Nonetheless I think they will improve as the tour goes on, playing after a long time some of them, so a bit rusty.

At 6/62 we're doing better than I expected. I thought all out for 70... we should be able to avoid that from here.

I was thinking to be optimistic, but I don't see it. Our guys just don't seem to learn. It's not exactly the most green swinging pitch, but our guys went in with the mentality of, 'just don't lose my wicket'. Same mistakes, from guys with 200 games experience. From challenging and beating full nations, to struggling against associates, and yet no one from the management, to a lot of the players, seems to care.

How can anyone be content with continually going out there and being beaten so thoroughly week in week out, on an international level.

BT was always going to be in trouble with that low-hanging bat approach he developed at Notts. The bounce there is serious.

Didnt expect much from guys who havent played any matches for 6 months to be honest. Training only prepares you so much. Match day Mentality can only be gained from playing actual matches.

Its a real shame Blessing isnt there. He would have been lethal on that pitch.

Its not a surprise to me that even though they didnt score big, the guys who played Pakistan in the ODI series(Hami,PJ and Elton) looked a lot more comfortable than the guys who didnt(BT,Ervine and Williams).

Elton is also slowly working his way back into the team. I have been saying this. The boycott gave him one last chance and so far he isnt doing too badly. He just needs to stay motivated.

RSA 44/3, Markram effectively got out thrice in that little knock.

RSA's batting was always vulnerable with such an inexperienced lineup. It's a shame Zimbabwe have put up only a 117, I mean seriously dissapointing batting there. Hopefully there will be a few more runs on the board next time.
