Mutombozi looks a good allrounder, but he need more chances.

Agreed but with Zim's small player base they are never going to produce 12-15 good cricketers each year.sloandog wrote:Lets face it. We're a poor side
Six a year should be enough to establish a good senior pool of playes and this age group has Chatara, Higgins, Mushangwe, Moor, Mutombodzi and Mugava (I haven't included Waller as he has another year at U19) all who should develop into very good players.
Part of the problem has been lack of runs and of the names above only Moor is a batsman and he until todday has faied with the bat.
This makes the exclusion of Jethro Mawudzi the more confusing. Any player whe can score a ton and a fifty in their first 2 first class innings, surely is worth a place in a weak U19 team with an even weaker batting line up.

Moor needs to prove that he's a good player by scoring runs, well all the side does, but Moor especially as he's the capatin

Have you seen today's scorecard?sloandog wrote:Moor needs to prove that he's a good player by scoring runs, well all the side does, but Moor especially as he's the capatin
From the televised JWC matches only Waller and Mazhawidza (and he's been dropped) appeared to heve the technique to score runs at a higher level.

Only the 3rd man to score a hundred for Zimbabwe at U19 level, after Taylor (twice) and Vermeulen.

nice to see you cannot compliment peter moor without a dig at him as well.
A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.
