If ZIM can get to 300 then they may be able to draw the match and that would be a very good result. 350 would have been the ideal total once you reached 201-3...but a collapse is currently on order.
Late wickets must be avoided.

Meth as a nightwatchman will be a waste of a wicket. he's a more than capable batsman. in my opinion if someone was to be nightwatchman it would have to be Vitori. It probably was just an experiment which went horribly wrong!

Chigs and Waller must have a partnership tommorow, Chatara Ncube and Vitori cannot be trusted batting wise

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Match - Zimbabwe XI vs Australia A
A pretty disappointing final 10 overs or so, unfortunately it could affect the outcome of the match. 3 down at stumps and batting until tea tomorrow is a real chance, but at 6 down Zim XI are almost into the tail. There's still a lot of positives to come out of today though and there's a couple of quality batsmen to return to this lineup.
Tomorrow might be a pretty difficult day, if the final few wickets fall quickly (and it's a strong possibility) all of the hard work done by the openers will have been for nothing. But if Chigumbura and Waller bat for about 50 or 60 overs like the openers did then I suppose a score of about 300 will be on the cards. But it's more about time... looking ahead a couple of days, I don't think any score Zimbabwe XI can set will be enough to disturb the Australian batsmen so time is a key factor. If Zimbabwe XI aren't still batting on day 4, I'd even go as far as to say by lunch on day 4, then this match is gone.

At least zimbabwe wont suffer the ignomity of a 2 day match like their last tests ahainst new zealand, south africa in 2005
So in that respect this match is a truimph over adversity
But in reality more is espected of them, To draw this match will be a good achievement
