Plus you can get caught up in things even when you are not the target. NZ have come close to terrorist attacks in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka over the years.

When I said that, I was looking at the positive side of things (if there really was something), because it kind of looks like the tour is pretty much finalised......
"Takemore" -

Not likelt to happen. If Sean williams doesnt say anything dought anyone else will.

I would also say they must get their salary payments in advance. If they are playing in enclosed spaces, then its obviously not safe to go at all.

So today I spoke to a work colleague from Pakistan when I told him Zimbabwe were touring Pakistan he couldn't believe it. He said no way is it safe and told me stories of what is happening there and how members of his family have been kidnapped and held for ransome and how terriosts Rome the streets, he said he felt sorry for the Zim boys and said he would under no circumstances visit his home land ......

And we are sending our boys there for 5 ODI's, I really hope this falls through for their sake ......

I feel this is wrong I don't care how much security they have I'm against it .....

Heard that the players are keen to travel and are training as if the tour shall go ahead although it still hasn't been confirmed

I've got a bad feeling about this potential tour.

I know I keep repeating myself but if the tour is to go ahead then all matches should be played behind closed doors.

I have no idea why a newly married Sean Williams would be willing to step into Pakistan of all the places, and why his family would be receptive of the idea. Yeah I agree, the more I think about it, the more senseless this looks.

Probably the ZCB's thoughts are if the players get killed they don't have to worry about paying them

My thoughts exactly.

Perhaps the players are under extreme pressure to go otherwise they won't get paid.
