Yeah, from a cricket perspective (and accent!), he's Australian. If he'd been a better cricketer when he was younger, that's where he would be playing.
Actually tried for quite a while to make some progress in the UK as well, but with no shortcuts there, and actually a longer residency requirement than elsewhere, I think he just gave up as the road ahead was just too long.
Zim was way, way down the list. In his defence though, he's stuck with it. I still reckon it's Jan '26 that he will be eligible.

I know quite a few people in Aus and Uk that should be playing pro cricket, but they were by-passed for a number of reasons other than cricket. In Uk in particular if you dont come thru a county age group system you're swimming upstream.
