341. There was a time when people moved from "greener pastures" to Zimbabwe too (Actually that makes Zim the greener pasture by definition. Any way...). Here's one of them, a former first class cricketer who moved to and played for Rhodesia towards the end of his career. Who is he?

No, he came from the land that is today the "greener pasture" for cricketers from so many countries :)

A decisive clue: One of the primary reasons for him to turn to Rhodesia - he found his lady love there :)

That sounds like Sandy Singleton of Worcestershire who met his wife furing WWII in Rhodesia. Is this the man? Any similarities with this picture? I guess the eyes are about right, the chin too ... :?

He came to Rhodesia while serving the Royal Air Force: http://rhodesianheritage.blogspot.in/20 ... e-day.html
So, he even taught at Peterhouse and married a certain Polly Brooks.

Well, that took a bit of research, which has in turn armed me with more future questions about some other "foreign" players who moved to or turned out for Rhodesia.

342. But for now, here's a more current cricketer who seems to have faded out of franchise cricket but is still around on the Harare club scene. Who is he?

I'll abstain from answering till the first wrong answer (if any), as I was toying with this exact photo as a question for a while...

Just wait and see. :ugeek: I feel pretty confident that we can push this Quiz beyond Lara's 400* and Hick's 405* whithout delving into photos of Hami's car, Taylor' golf bag, Vusi's trash can, Cremer's bedroom, or Guy Whittal's niece's hairdo. :D

:) I guess that's almost inevitable at this stage.
