I contemplated him, but thought he would be closer to a last round pick. Then I remembered Curran and Oram fell down the pack. I still kind of want a Kiwi and the Zim connection is definitely appealing.

Oram has always been a favourite of mine; his career bowling average is actually better than I thought or remembered (but obviously there are better players still out there).
With my next pick I need a seam bowling all-rounder so I’ll continue with my plan of picking batsman who I loved watching in full flight.
Although his career will probably be remembered for a string of awful lbw reviews; there weren’t many better players to watch when in form than my next pick #75 Shane Watson.
His on-drive was one of the best looking shots in world cricket and his power hitting made him one of the best limited overs players in his day. Probably never really mastered his game which shows how good he could have been

Yep, Shane Watson was the guy I had in mind when I said there are "better" players than Oram out there. I was surprised he wasn't picked early, tbh, but it seems all-rounders are in less demand under this draft scheme.
