This is really big...A win against Scotland could essentially knock Afghans out... :W:
The second qualifying spot could well come down to NRR between two or more teams with a 3-2 record, so Afghanistan are still in with a shout--if they get out of the group and then win all their super six matches.

It's early days yet. In terms of wins carried forward:
Zim 1-0
Scotl 1-0
Afg 0-2

In group A I expect a battle for third place between Pakistan D and the Dutch/Southern Hemisphere Combined XI; so Ireland and Windies could both be one up as well.

I feel it will essentially get down to the game between Zimbabwe and Ireland in the Super 6s

Wins in all group games would help though..

Scotland has done a big favour to Zimbabwe by defeating Afghans..Can't thank enough

The 4 second footage we've just seen shows how pumped the crowd was.

When was the last time we had a crowd that big, a crowd that animated? And it looked absolutely beautiful with the sun out.

We have essentially just beaten the join favourites to win the entire tournament; that needs to sink in and be left alone.

Very well bowled lads, and well batted the BRM and Sikander, two fellas in serious form.

It seems like Afghanistan is neutralised at least for the moment (we've done our bit anyway). Hopefully WI and Ireland come to the party and knock them out completely.

As far as Zim goes - HK in a few days. Hopefully we bat first, put on about 400 and then bowl them out for 50. Need that NRR up high.

Looking at some of the footage at https://www.icc-cricket.com/match/7797#scorecard , that crowd was really pumped!
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

I'll be enjoying a nice cold castle this evening. Had a load imported so I'm going to crack open a few cans
