76 runs in 8 digs for Ireland. A bit Maruma-esque, isn't it? 68 runs from 7 innings for Timycen.

He did have that good knock against the Essex 2nd XI last week tbf, so I think they’ll give him a long rope. He might do better in the one day stuff for them. Just our luck that he’ll be shit for them for months and then probably score a century against Zim in the qualifiers
We honestly might have put up more of a fight than this. When are England going to invite us

Again, on the lines of Maruma performing magnificently in pretty much every A team / tour match and going on to flatter to deceive on the big stagesecretzimbo wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 4:25 pmHe did have that good knock against the Essex 2nd XI last week tbf,

Great fight shown by Ireland today. Shame they were so awful for the first two days though.
Awful pitch btw. Won't get a mention because it's Lords and England!!!
Anyway it's my dream to watch Zim at Lords

PJ left out of the Ireland ODI squad, have they like Zimbabwe also decided that he is not good enough?

PJ Moor has played his last innings. The Munster Reds batter returns home on Sunday to work in the family business in Zimbabwe with his cricket career at an end.
Despite Curtis’ Campher’s sensational five wickets in five balls to end the North West Warriors innings, Moor led the Reds off the field at Sydney Parade after the 324th and final game of his professional career.
“With no Test cricket on the horizon (Ireland do not play again until November and he has never featured in an ODI or T20I squad), I have decided to move on with my life. The Test match in Zimbabwe (in February) is a fitting way to end my international career,” said the 34-year-old who got married in March.
In all Moor played 15 Tests, the first eight for his native Zimbabwe from 2016-18, and after transferring his allegiance to Ireland, he played his first Test for them against Bangladesh in Dhaka, ironically the same venue where he played his last Test for Zimbabwe and posted hjs highest score (83) five years earlier.
He opened the batting with captain Andrew Balbirnie in Northern Ireland’s inaugural Test against Zimbabwe in July 2024 and it was the same combination when the teams met again in Bulawayo.
Moor missed the opening three games of the inter-provincial Cup in May but returned to say farewell in the four back-to-back T20 series, which ended this week in Pembroke.
He was determined to enjoy himself in his final game and after getting off the mark first ball, he hit his fifth and sixth balls for six. He greeted Scott Macbeth with another maximum and had added two more boundaries before he was caught at deep mid-wicket for 35 off 16 balls.
It took his runs aggregate to 1,616 runs in T20s to go with 3,408 in List A games and 4,815 in 84 first-class games at an average of 33.
