Yes, Jemisi, it is indeed Tatenda Mupunga, collecting his prize for bowler of the tournament at the University of Zimbabwe Cricket Exhibition tournament last year. http://alumni.uz.ac.zw/index.php/14-new ... tournament I had previously used the photo of Simba Gupo (best bowler) from the same article. Best player went to Bezel Njanji, any relation to Bright Njanji (or are they one and the same)???Jemisi wrote:Mupunga?

Had come across that profile on Cricinfo earlier and sincerely thought it was some disgruntled data entry operator who got fed up of all the exotic names and spellings he had to type and felt he had enough of it and hit some keys at random in anger while typing in the "first name" column...foreignfield wrote:re: 384. Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
The name came up in an official ICC event, so I'd give Cricinfo the benefit of the doubt. Maybe someone made a mistake at the registry or at the passport office. It would not be the first interestingly or wrongly spelled first name in Zimbabwe cricket (but by far the most extreme case): Bornaparte Mujuru springs to mind, the extra "r" might just be a typo, though (I guess his parents did not intend to suggest that he was "born apart" but rather had a vague idea of Napoleon Bonaparte in mind).CrimsonAvenger wrote:Had come across that profile on Cricinfo earlier and sincerely thought it was some disgruntled data entry operator who got fed up of all the exotic names and spellings he had to type and felt he had enough of it and hit some keys at random in anger while typing in the "first name" column...foreignfield wrote:re: 384. I can't find any other trace of Pruilifgf/Prolific ... and there are hundreds of Charumbiras on the internet, the next best first name to go with it would be PerculiarRue Charumbira ... why on earth would you call your daughter "Strange Street"?

I had never observed this! Always thought it was the normal Bonaparte...foreignfield wrote:Bornaparte Mujuru springs to mind, the extra "r" might just be a typo, though
