There's room for improvement, they have used the markings as the main selling point and the bounce is a bit unrealistic. I'm surprised a better artificial surface has never been developed. Someone needs to develop a surface with a small amount of give that deadens the bounce slightly and is durable. I have heard that some indoor facilities have 3 different surfaces but am yet to see one. I think there's room for improvement with plastic machine balls as well. Many are too hard and are tough on bats, others are too light. I'm yet to see one with a seam and they would sell well. The one great thing I have seen is a dimpled ball that is smooth on one side, so you can swing it. The swing is constant through the trajectory though and it's not that late swing that is the real problem to deal with as a batter. It only works with a sidearm and not through a machine. There's a gap for someone to invent a mechanical side-arm instead of the conventional wheels, in my opinion. The wheels wear the balls quite quickly and won't bowl the ball seam up, so to speak. A mechanical side-arm machine bowling a medium density plastic ball (weighing 156) with a pronounced seam and dimpled on one side and smooth on the other would be the ultimate. I'm certain someone will get it right fairly soon.

Yup, former Prince Edward School headmaster Clive Barnes who ran Zimbabwe Schools’ Cricket successfully between 1987 and 2006.

He has been helping schools in Mauritius and Pakistan since his retirement from PE and was back in Zim for a school reunion: http://www.dailynews.co.zw/articles/201 ... pe-reunion

The list of administrators lost to ZC is almost as sad as all the players lost.

That's the right answer. Vumi Moyo, who has played quite a few roles with the Tuskers and the ZC. Also match referee in local matches, has interests in golf too. He's had his share of controversies as well...

406. While we struggle to get inroads into the minnows AFG batting line up, here's a Zimbo who already has his hands on the 2015 World Cup. Who is he?
