Yes, Gerald Penford. He has a list A 100 in the SA domestic competition, where he moved to after an initial stint with Manicaland. After the SA FC experience, left cricket for further studies, came back, played club cricket in the UK and NZ. Scored a 50 off 11 balls in one of those outings in the UK. Still going strong in the club scene.

I think at least in case of gargamel, he must have met Musekwa personally. As for grant getting Penford right, in some cases like that photo, there is an easy way. I guess grant must have followed that...
