To explain how I started looking for answers, initially, I thought we are referring to the NZ v Zim match of the 1987 CWC where Houghton pulled off a miracle with Iain Butchart. That was because I thought you had "wrongly" assumed that Doug and John Bracewell were son and father . So, I thought Butchart's father might have been an administrator. But never got any info about him. Then, my attention turned towards those guys who played very less cricket for Zim, but happened to play vs NZ. Took a lot of exploration
Looks like this is the most desperate attempt to create a question ever, even with the history of this thread The guy is still in Africa, if you needed further clues.
I have absolutely no idea. If you say "in Zimbabwe", does that mean he's played for a non-Zimbabwean side touring in Zim, or an anonymous stint with one of the franchises?
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes
There are a few white players who have played franchise but not really made a mark in FC cricket. There are those with a grand total of 3 FC runs, and there are those who have only played List A ... I'm getting really desperate. Was the catch taken as a sub??? Just to thrown in a name: Alex Smith???
