i dont think its a capitalist or marxist thing, that would be closert to pay. I think 12 is good enough because i think the 12th best team is capable of a close call or a win, as every other world cups have proven to date (kenya 96, us 99, ireland etc)
I think 12 is good, possibly even 14 - didn't have a problem with the last 2 world cups which had 14 teams even though the bottom two basically got blown away in every game (Kenya and Canada in 2011, UAE in 2015).

I think 12 is good because it gives guaranteed exposure to at last 2 teams outside the established top 10. Have the top 10 in the rankings get autoqualification and then have a 8 or 10 team WCQ for the 11th and 12th seeds.

I think we should focus less on who is good enough and more on giving exposure. Thats why I don't have too many problems with a 10 team WC, because 13 teams are getting a shot at the ODI league - which in purely cricket terms is the bigger reward. 36 matches over 3 years is far more beneficial than 5 or 6 every 4th year.

Thats my opinion at least.

Ladies and gentlemen let’s not look too far ahead 1 game at a time

I have a feeling there will be a few more twists and turns before the tournament is done I’ll be surprised if anyone goes through undefeated. This is such a great tournament because the sides are so even and match up differently. I feel Afghanistan were our worst match up die to their spinners whilst I think we match up well against the Windies and Ireland because they rely more of seamers.

Afghanistan struggle against Ireland because of the Irish strong batting which also hurt them against Scotland.

Plus the Irish give just as much as they take, which will come as a shock to the Afghans.

All the piss taking at the airport, the press conferences and the hype around Rashid Khan and they were defeated yesterday. Very humbling, very embarrassing and hopefully they'll have been brought down a peg or four

Never a truer word spoken. Let's beat HK without any fuss first.

And can we please stop moaning about the mentality of our players now? Honestly, yes, they lose more than they win because they play against better opposition most of the time. But looking back over the last two years or so I feel we win more tight matches than we lose.
