Big big statement from Bennett there. There is hope. I think besides the usual suspects only Regis, Kaia and Mire have scored a hundred. He is the first of the kids. Gives us hope. To do it after the 2 veterans did the same is huge.
He's just lifted is FC average from 40 to 46

There's a dodgy stream at https://new.crichd-player.top/channel-3 ... 3?player=1 (but naturally it cut out when Bennett was on about 98)

Well done to Bennett, what a fun knock :6:

Excluding Gary Ballance, we haven't had a Test centurion other than the usual big 3 and Taylor/Masakadza since Cremer in 2016. Thank you Brian Bennett. There is some hope for the future
Geez that is a depressing stat. Ideally the likes of Madhevere, Shumba and Burl would be forming the backbone of the batting lineup now but it just hasn't happened (... yet, I think they can still turn it around). Although maybe Bennett and Myers will pick up the slack.

Hopefully this gives BB the confidence to go on and do this against the big teams as well.

While the BRMT Admin is still here, and also some of us extremely rare visitors are here today incidentally, the most important question:

When are we giving the well deserved ZCF Knighthood to Sean Colin Williams? :D
I can see a knighthood coming SW's way.

On a different note, occasionally knighthoods get given when they don't make a lot of sense (like in Australia about 10 years back, we gave a knighthood to Prince Phillip). Which Zimbabwe cricketer could conceivably get a knighthood that isn't entirely undeserved but would raise a lot of eyebrows?

Sir Terry Duffin for captaining the ODI side when nobody else would?

Sir Waddington Mwayenga for sticking around long enough to play a test match?

What was that strange fielding from Gwandu and looks like he's done his knee. Not good

This is an absolute road 😄

I like what I'm seeing from Nyamuri. Looks strong and fit and clearly has a bit of pace.

Can he swing it back into the left hander though? He'll be really dangerous if he can.
