Hats off to Erwine jr, who converted a soaring 6 (off who else- Lamb) into a great catch. He earlier fielded brilliantly at boundary line. Welcome to international cricket mate

174, it's not unobtainable. I don't think Zimbabwe bowled too badly to be honest, there were a few too many wides but ultimately Jayawardene was in such fantastic form, I think he would have torn any bowling attack to shreds today.

Craig Ervine looks like a star fielder incidentally.

I'm actually quite impressed though.

Take Jayawardene out of the scorecard and what have you got? :?

Jayawardene played a fantastic innings. It truly was. It was one of the best Twenty20 knocks I've seen and I don't think many teams would of been able to lock down his runs. New Zealand couldn't ...

One negative is how dejected we look. I don't know if it was me, but I couldn't see any energy on the field. As soon as Mpofu went for few in the first over, we looked lost . I'd like to see Taibu shout more, he is the most experianced player in the team and his knowledge will help. It'd be great if he was like the Irish wicket keeper Niall Obrien, now he never shuts up

Another negative is of the wides. I think we gave them one extra over which is very bad. We need to sort this out.

But like I said, I thought we played rather well. We just need one guy to make a special innings. Keep the believe. Theres more pressure on Sri Lanka. If we get on top of them then they'll loose there heads and they'll do strange things!!

Come on Zimbawbe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :W: :W:

Fox Sports had a message on screen that the match has been abandoned due to the rain, however I don't think that is correct. I think it is only delayed for the time being.

I think there is lot of time left to take the decision, but if its a washout, let there be two washouts, both today and tomorrow, we wouldn't mind that ;)

There is a game scheduled after the Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka match, so it can't get pushed back too far. 5 overs constitutes a match, any less than that and the points will be shared.
