What will save Myers for us is that he was made Head Boy of St George’s. But he’s apparently bright so it’s almost certain he will go to Uni. That will be him out the loop for 3 years! Welch was the last player cut. Potentially a victim of that one players dad paying the selectors.
At the same time, had a few chances up until the last game and didn’t take them which could have brought him into Oldknows spot so can’t be too upset.
He’s 16 so will get another crack.
I think he’s a patriotic kid too, in a line ball decision would have been a better selection than oldknow because Welch jr actually wants to play for Zim seniors I believe.
