All of our bowlers have been bowling like rookies mate. So I'd get a good one in, opposed to somebody who low on confidence i.e Mpofujimbo wrote:Two rookies playing together could be a recipe for disaster

Zim A 278/8, lead by 8. So NZ will need to bat again, at least.

Wicket: Panyangara (b Arnel 9). Zim A 287 all out (102.1 overs; Marillier 50, Arnel 8/82). NZ A require 18 to win.

Here too, nobody kicked on to make big scores as they did in the first match. But would have been a great learning experience for them all. Just get a feeling that Mutizwa missed a golden opportunity to stake his claim for the national squad. The stage was set and he was in at 3 in the second innings.

Selectors in both national team and A team camps making blunders aplenty. First was not playing Sean Williams in the first A-team match against New Zealand, leaving him distinctly undercooked for SA (did we not see the result?), then playing Forster Mtizwa at 6 in the second match (what were they trying, your highest scoring batsman in First Class matches at six?) and then lastly that "smart" move to drop Masakadza (whose idea was that).

Tell me how can uncover new talent without giving them a go.

The selectors are certainly making some weird decisions. For the conspiracy theorists out there I have a theory, perhaps Alistair Campbell is setting the team up to fail so he can bring back more of the old guard for a final world cup. Grant Flower was the first returnee, before we know it, Heath Streak will be opening the bowling, Guy Whittall will come out of retirement to play the role of allrounder (after Chigumbura has mysteriously forgotten how to bowl), and Alistair Campbell will decide to select himself as captain.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

The only thing Streak will be opening is a bag of chips.eugene wrote:The selectors are certainly making some weird decisions.
