Just thinking, if we do go back out then the ball will be harder to grip for the bowlers 8-) :W:

If we lose today and win tomorrow, there is no guarantee of next round as then things will be decided on NRR and we might lag. But if its a wash out today, then we will move to super 8 if we beat black caps tomorrow. So i am hoping for rain to continue.

Well I've been watching events and I have to say that we bowled poor. Why Prosper opened with Mpofu I'll never know, but it was a disaster. Price bowled too short early on, and Lamb bowled to full. One positive was the fielding. We did very well in that aspect of the match, but the bowling was too scattered. The rain still seems to be coming down, which i dont think is too much of a bad thing, since 5 overs are required to constitute a match. Hope the rain falls for a while yet :D

I didn't think the bowling was that bad sloandog, Jayawardene's batting was outstanding. Against any other competition I think that same bowling performance would have restricted the batting team to 140-150.

The covers are coming off now according to Cricinfo, it will be interesting to see what the target is and how the batsmen approach it. Chigumbura or Coventry to bat at number three?

Got to be Chigumbura, from what I've read Coventry is a bit hit and miss?

Blignaut would of been great in this situation AND hes a left hander ?? :(

Ya perhaps I'm being slightly hasty in what I'm saying, but I just felt we could have bowled slightly better at Jayawardene that's all. I dont know wether to be happy or sad that the covers are coming off

Can't fault Prosper for giving the first over to Mpofu, he has been in tremendous form on this tour. But yes, it was the brilliance of Jayawardene who did not let even Price to settle down.

" Respite! The rains have stopped and covers are coming off. And what's more, it has become a lot brighter, though the clouds remain. Stay tuned for more, our man Andrew McGlashan is on the ground providing these updates." Via Cricinfo.

" All covers have come off, very quickly. Sri Lanka players are out warming up, and eager to get in those four overs." Via cricinfo.

So what'll happen now ?? Will overs be deducted, or will we just carry on and put the England game back 30-45 minutes ??

"12:12pm Restart in 9 minutes, that is at 12:21pm. It is going to be a 11 over chase. We will let you know the target in a moment"
