Hear, hear...Train Driver wrote:the new breed of poster seems to want to do nothing other than criticise anyone and anything, the players, management and each other, you name it and there's a hundred critical and sometimes offensive posts on their way, sadly i see the same undertone on this forum as well and i just can't see the benefits to anyone, as if we don't have enough to annoy us as the people who 'run' the game of cricket nowadays throw everything to the wind and try to turn the game into a 20/20 quick bucks farce

I think I'm very positive about ZC these days: I embraced their plans for slow Test reintroduction, I'm enthusiastic about the new Vic Falls stadium and happy in general about the domestic game. What I'm unhappy about is this result. Players ought to show hunger, a bit of arrogance and professionalism. Being scared of foreign conditions is not encouraging (compare that to Aamer, 18 years old, playing for Pakistan in England for the first time, yet rips Australia apart). Places in the Test squad are available but these guys have a funny way of auditioning for them.

I guess the critical nature of some of the posts comes from frustration at how the team plays. We always seem to take one step forward and then two back. Zimbabwe has one of the most experienced ODI units yet most of the players still play like they are on debut. I guess this is a sign that many of our players just aren't good enough - yet they are the best we have. It is a very frustrating situation.
